The many ninja tools across the Tenchu series. What's your favorite?

This thread is mainly focused on Tenchu 1, 2, 3, and Fatal Shadows. I can't play my copy of Tenchu Z and I don't own Tenchu: Shadow Assassins yet so I'm unable to showcase the various items in those. That said, Tenchu is a ninja stealth series where the player usually controls either Rikimaru or Ayame. The goal is to reach the mission objective without getting seen and receiving rewards based on score/rank. These games have a multitude of ninja tools to assist in sneaking or taking out... Should I play RE7 and Village

So I've been on a Resident Evil series binge having played 2 Remake, 3 Remake, 4 and Requiem. I'm debating if I should go back and play 7 and Village. My hesitancy comes from not being too interested in Ethan and the first person perspective which I tried in Requiem but didn't enjoy and switched to third but given 7 was a return to form that indicates good things

I like base building when I have almost no freedom. Any reccomendations? (Think Ni No Kuni II)

This is probably weird, because I feel most people like having more freedom, but once they tell me I can place furniture down myself and build materials chests etc, I nope out. It's just tedious to me. In NNK2 it was essentially a resource dump that got you upgrades and income and improved in visuals and whimsy as you upgraded it. It was really addicting for me and I want something like that again.

Minecraft can beat itself without player input - after two billion years

https://www.ign.com/articles/minecraft-beat-itself-after-nearly-two-billion-simulated-years Don't wait up. Is it odd to anyone else how hard it is to play Zelda: four swords adventures?

I'm fortune enough to have copy (somewhere) and it's game I've yet to ever really try beyond when I was a kid, but I remember it being a pretty good game, but to the best of my knowledge it's only ever been released once? The original four swords game is also pretty scarce, it had a dsi promo timed release a couple times and that's basically it, I think it's a bit of a shame these titles have never once been rereleased, adventures is over twenty years old by now, and Zelda is a massive series.

Four years ago they announced not just the impossible Silent Hill 2, but two other Silent Hill projects. Will Child Link Ever Headline a 3D Zelda Again?

So obviously with the OoT remake hype swirling right now, I got to thinking: Will Nintendo ever give child Link a full blown 3D open air experience? There is just something so charming about The Minish Cap, Windwaker, Majora's Mask and the child portion on OoT. I understand that it's not as edgy, but I think it would be interesting to revisit. We've went from Twilight Princess - Skyward Sword- Breath of the Wild - Tears of the Kingdom. So it's been 20 years of adult Link in 3D Zelda.

After five years, I have managed to collect the full set of UK/EU Neo Geo Pocket Color Games

I have a very distinct childhood memory of my first encounter with the Neo Geo Pocket Color. I must have been maybe eight or nine years old. I was in the "entertainment" section of my local Woolworths, and across from the Gameboy Section I spied a game box with Sonic the Hedgehog's enticing grin on the front cover. Upon inspection I found something totally alien and foregin to me in almost every way. The case was made of plastic and had a clip-cover, the game looked better than... Read more

Examples where you wanted or want games to be more accessible, hand holdy or just more streamlined?

Over the past week we've seen a lot of discussion form gamers declaring that any hand holding or features made to help people are bad or should just be "optional" no matter the context, intended audience, genre or creative intent. As such, this thread is for the reverse, times where you wanted a game to be more accessible, more hand holding, guides and help or just wanted mechanics more streamlined? How do you pay for a gaming PC these days?

How are people actually affording gaming PCs now? I don't currently have a gaming PC, but I'm looking at getting one and I'm honestly hesitant to drop £1,000–£1,500+ in cash on a PC in one go. I've always preferred buying things outright, but that's a lot of money to throw down at once, especially with a family and other bills. So how are people doing it these days? Are you saving up and paying outright, putting down a decent deposit and financing the rest, or using credit?

How Do You Store Your PS5?

Well, now that I've taken a picture with flash, I see that I need to go to town with a cloth and dust. But anyway, I've been complaining about the PS5 being too damn big since it was announced. Even the "slim" doesn't fit in a Kallax shelf. Mine fits under my monitor stand with what I thought was ample space on all sides, but goddamn, the heat it expels compared to every other system, I'm wondering is this good the way it is? With... New to Steam… but have a Steam Machine in my cart

Do I go for it? I've always been a console gamer. The simplicity and ease of use of them - not needing to tinker - not to mention the flexibility brought by the Switch/2 just suits my life better. I'm on a computer all day at work. When I get home I want to play on the couch (or in bed). The Steam Deck was my "in" to the Steam platform, but rumors of the Switch Pro (haha) were on the horizon, so I held off. Do your video game podcasters/journalists/youtubers of choice still play console or are they all on PC now like mine are?

Something sort of random but maybe not-so-random sign of the times is that virtually all of the video game podcasters and YouTubers and even journalists (these categories all mix of course) that I follow have migrated to PC. Some of them only have non-PC hardware for the sake of reviews and/or doing their jobs as industry folk, but virtually all of them have expressed explicitly that they mainly game on PC. Nintendo has only released 12 3D platformers in the last 30 years! What's your favorite?

Hard to believe that with such a popular genre in general that there truly haven't been all that many 3D platformers released by Nintendo since 1996! 2/3 out of these are Super Mario games which makes a lot of sense, but as we've seen more recently there are opportunities to use new mechanics and traversal options with other mascots too so it doesn't need to remain only in the domain of Mario. If you did, did you have any favorites? The late 90s / early 2000s were the peak of guides for me and it was almost as exciting to get the guide, take it to school and read through it with friends. What are your feelings on open world racing games in relation to route/track/course design, compared to closed circuit racers?

I love an open world racer sometimes, but generally speaking when I look back on the most memorable racing game moments in my life they're mostly from closed circuit tracks on games. I'm not sure how common this is, but I've noticed that my son and I tend to create our own custom terminology or shorthand words and phrases somewhat often when playing games together.
